Smilegate Hope Studio and INKA signs ‘AppSealing startup partnership” for supporting startup mobile game developers

[2015-0914] On Sept. 14, Smilegate Hope Studio (President, Kwon Hyuk Bin) announced that it had agreed to sign an MOU for ‘AppSealing startup program’ with digital security specialist ‘INKA Entworks, Inc. (CEO, James Ahn)’ in order to provide security service to the tenants of Orange Farm, a startup incubation center provided by SmileGate Hope Studio, a Non-profit Foundation by SmileGate, one of the biggest game companies in Korea.

Through the MOU, Smilegate Hope Studio has arranged for Orange Farm tenants, the startups, to use INKA Entworks’ mobile game app security service ‘AppSealing (www.appsealing.com).’

Most startup mobile game developers are more vulnerable to security issues as they have to spend most of their resources on game development, and thus cannot pay proper attention to or invest actively in security. This MOU will assist the Startup game developers for strengthening the security on their mobile games, and thus to be able to focus more on game development and providing higher-quality game service.

AppSealing is a cloud-based mobile game app security service. Launched last year by INKA Entworks, AppSealing offers robust security technology as a service for mobile game apps.

“Orange Farm provides cloud service and software programs, which are required by startups, through affiliation with various businesses. By cooperating with INKA Entworks, we will be able to offer mobile security services to our tenants and startups,” said Director Suh Sang-bong of Orange Farm. “Orange Farm will actively promote affiliation with a wide range of companies in order to provide necessary programs to startups.”

Currently, three Orange Farm centers are in operation, such as Seocho Center and Sinchon Center in Seoul and Busan Center. Smilegate Hope Studio has prepared a number of supporting programs necessary in the growth of startups ranging from a supporting program for establishing business foundation to facilitating investment connections. Recently, Smilegate Hope Studio, as part of the Busan Center expansion, opened Busan Global Game Center (BGC) through cooperation with Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency.
